Art curator Indiewalls contacted Gabriel Schama Studios to commission an artwork for Amazon’s new HQ2 in Arlington, Virginia to produce a center piece for their showroom. For this special section of the company's new east coast headquarters every artwork needed to tell a story. From the location the materials were sourced from, to the intention behind work, Amazon meticulously curated over 20 artists to build out a space meant to host top executives and politicians.  This open space showcase features only one meeting room, and Gabriel was asked to create the artwork to adore its walls. 

For a project of this magnitude, the status quo was not going to cut it. Creating two complementary artworks inspired by the Potomac was a challenge in itself, but the installation needed to transcend. The real test was to push into an innovative direction never seen before. Through extensive creative and engineering planning, Gabriel developed a concept never before seen on this scale. For both walls of the meeting room, a niche was created.
